Saddest things ever.
Its hard staring at an empty house all day, seeing it there waiting for Jerry to come home. His best friend came by (who in the last post, i reffered to as his brother, the guy lived with him for some time) and pulled a weed whacker out of his trunk, and went into the garage, and got out all his lawn equiptment, and did the lawn exactly as he knew Jerry would do it! It brought me to tears. It was probably the sweetest thing in the world to do for his friend, just because how Jerry was about his lawn!
What made it worse, or even more sweet, the old man on the corner, who lives next door to Jerry came over and handed Pat (his bff) what appeared to be a check.
A car came by while Pat was working in the yard, and he stopped and talked to them for a while, then a couple on a motorcycle stopped in, and they went inside to talk for a good 2 hours.
After Pat left, his brother stopped by, a very BIG man. Very recognizable, just by his size. Him and his wife went inside and stayed for a while. When they emerged, they had dress clothes in hand. But what the wife had in her hand broke my heart. It was his HARLEY DAVIDSON leather vest! she was holding it by the shoulders and put it VERY gingerly in the trunk with his other clothes.

Later on our way to the park for our walk, chris insisted on driving down telegraph, it was very emotional to see that spot he died, and the beautiful red white and blue wreather they had hung there.

I am gonna do 2 posts. this one will be about my neighbor, the next will be about the weekend. Or as livejournal posts it the previous one will be about my weekend.

Saturday we were not home all day, so when we got home at 6 and the reporters started showing up on the block, and were interviewing the lady who lives kitycorner from us. Across the street over one house. i was like What the hell did we miss? Chris got online and checked the news channels, and the only thing remotely close to us, was a story about a hit and run motorcyle accident. When chris showed me the picture of the bike, i said "chris, that looks like the guy across the streets bike" My heart sunk a little, but until i knew more, i had hope. Half an hour later it was on the news and my nieghbor (she gave daeday pig ears last year, cause her dog was too big of a wimp as she said to eat them) was crying talking about jerry and she cant believe this happened. To be fair, i didnt know their names, i reffered to them as the gay guys. Which sounds horrible, but it was 2 single guys living together, and they DID NOT look remotely alike to be related. So i assumed. I found out last night they were indeed brothers. It actually took until last night for me to figure out which guy was Jerry, though i had a supsicion. Jerry, is a teddy bear looking guy, short stocky, neatly trimmed beard and mustache, very happy friendly, and his brother pat is tall, skinny BLONDE tanned and looks well.. gay. I have even seen him in the back yard in a speedo tanning. thats why i assumed they were gay. Jerry, was so reliable, and had a schedual i could set my clock to. He is in his yard the same time EVERY week, without fail, doing yard work! Cutting the grass, edging it with an edger, blowing the clippings, dumping the clippings. Same thing same time, same day every week. At first it annoyed me, when we first moved here, because it was at jujus nap time! But now, it has become a comfort, and i see him EVERY single day. His brother pat came home at the same time every day too. So that was all very comforting to me, cause it was all things i knew would happen every day without fail. Hear the bike, look out, see him comign home. We knew the sound of his bike, apart from my dads bike. Its a werid thing. Just last weekend, he was out in his yard laying fertilizer, talkign with his next door neighbor (the old man who sometimes snow blows our sidewalk) It just really really makes me SO SAD that he wont be out there, and it makes me sad for his grass. I know that sounds stupid, but he was so maticulous in takign care of it! I think the hardest thing for me, is seeing his living room light on still. No one has been there since he died. His truck still in the driveway, pulled over to the side really close to his house, so his bike fits through to get back in the garage. His house is just waiting for him to come home. ITS SO SAD. their are leaves on his grass, and the grass is almost due to be trimmed again. *sigh* i cant stand even looking at it, cause its all so tragic.
He was just pulling into the driveway for a charity event he was attending, not a mile from our house. Pulling into th edriveway, probably looking forward to the pig roast and hanging with the Vets, and fellow bikers. And BAM, in an instant his life was over. And that bastard that hit him just got out, looked at the damage to his own car and sped off into the neighborhood. No doubt that car is in a garage somewhere VERY CLOSE to here! That guy hiding in his house, like a scared RAT!
I mean, yes, i will miss seeing my neighbor, and im so sad for his family. But it also strikes me hard, cause that could have been my dad. Every day i worry about him on that Bike. It was his dream for so many years, and he fought so hard to be able to pay for it! But a small accident on a bike, can mean death!
plz if you pray, pray for bikers, pray for Jerry, and his family, and pray for the guy who hit him to turn himself in.

And PLZ for God's sake, PLZ WATCH OUT FOR BIKERS!! Give them as mcuh room as you would a FULL SIZED CAR OR VAN! hell i give them even more room than that! They have to really watch out for anythign in teh road, more so than you or I, and have to take deffensive measures to avoid those things, so they dont get hurt. They need LOTS OF ROOM ON THE ROAD!!!! GIVE IT TO THEM!!!

this weekend was amazing!

Saturday came to a slow start. We had to drive to my moms to give her the key to our house, so she could babysit the pets. Then chris realized he forgot to do something at his work before the holiday weekend. and it was vital. so we drove to his work, while juju and i sat in the car for 45 minutes, and i got more and more pissed! but then we finally made it to Birch Run, which is where our hotel was. It was too early to check in, so we went to the outlet mall. Carters was having a HUGE sidewalk sale, and almost everything in the store was 75% off!!!! I bought juju a nightgown, pair of jammies, and a dress for 16 bucks! for carters prices, that is an awesome deal! Then we went to Perfumania.. which i never go into that store. The fragrances try to kill me, with allergies, and asthma.. i just cant breathe in that store. Chris wanted to take me in there, because, i havent had perfume in a while. And he bought me a Liz claiborne gift set, with Liz, Realities, and Spark inside. i love the first two, but the spark, smells too musky and strong, and i really hate it. so im trying to give it away to someone. cause i hate throwing stuff away. Then we went to Harry and Davids, and bought some of their salsa. we tried the pineapple this time. but it was too sweet and needed more heat, and more cilantro. it wasnt bad though, i mixed it with some regulare old pico de gayo and it tasted much better!
We checked into the hotel, then headed towards Frankenmuth (5 minute drive) and wwen to the Dog Bowl. It was cool they had dogs EVERYWHERE, i mean tiny dogs, and dogs that weighed 300+ lbs!! seriously some of these dogs, looked like cows not dogs! lol they had events and competitions everywhere. We sat and watched the frisbee comp, and the dock dogs. Dock dogs is where dogs run and jump off a dock into a pool. The labs did the best. no suprise there. BBBBOOOMER jumped just 2 inches short of the world record 26 inches! it was pretty amazing to watch. We walked around the shops a little bit, and chris and juju got ice cream. Then we headed to dinner at the Cracker barrel. My favorite part of hte evening was the hot tub in our room. Chris and juju got to go swimming in the pool, but i started my period, so i would not be putting on my new swimming suit!! So instead i filled up the jacuzzi in our room and had the first bath i have taken in at least 2 years! The tub we have in this house, is so unusually shallow, i have never got in it for a bath. I miss taking baths! i love love love baths. CHris even bought me some bubble bath, before we left. it was so NICE, to be able to just lay in the hot bubbly water with the jets all over!

Sunday we ate breakfast in the hotel, and planned on going to this little zoo they have in town. but they didnt open until 11, so instead we went to teh Cheese Haus. they make cheese. ALL kinds of cheese. and i LOVE CHEESE! so we bought some garlic cheese spread, cause it was so yummy! and bought a brick of NY white cheddar! MMM it was really good. We sat at the dog bowl and watched a couple rounds of the dock dogs and snack on cheese spread and crackers.. then headed to the zoo. From the look of this building i wasnt expecting much to be honest! But they had SO MANY ANIMALS!!! it was so much fun! and you can interact with almost all of them, they are all really close up to you. i decided i will chose small zoos over big ones from now on, for this reason alone! You can even feed the bears!
After the zoo, we went to T Dubs, and got some pizza, it was one of the best pizzas i have ever had! DELICIOUS!!! Afterward, we went and walked aroudn a bit more, took pictures in front of the fountain, and Went back to get ice cream, while we waited for our boat to arrive. We went for a tour on the Bavarian belle. Chris and i did this for our 1 year wedding anniversary, and it was so nice! Actually i should add, we stayed in the same hotel, and did some of the same things, we did for our 1 yr, and it was really nice, and reminiscent for me! We had to stop by a toy shop though, and buy juju a baby, cause she sleeps with stuffed animals, and i had a hard time with her the night before, cause i forgot to pack a baby to sleep with. I ended up buying her a big beanie baby bear, that sys happy birthday, acuse he was clearanced out! but she was happy and content with this bear, and he didnt leave her side the entire trip! Of course after the zoo and walking around, julianas feet were BLACK, so i put her in the hot tub and she LOVED IT!! it was so funny! Chris took a nap, then we went out later for dinner at a chinese buffet, and the food was actually pretty good! we planned on just going back to the room, but as we drove down main st, we saw hot air balloons flying over head, so we raced toward the park and got to see all but the first 3 blow up and take off. It was the coolest thing ever! Me and juju were waving and were so excited!! They were flying so close overhead they were waving back at us! it was BEAUTIFUL! When we went back to the hotel, we played in teh arcade for a while, then i took another bath in the jacuzzi... AHHH.. it was so nice!

Monday we had breakfast in the hotel, THen checked out.. we went and saw the chapel of the silent night, just outside bronners. then went downtown to just hang out, and realized they were having a little parade. so we sat and watched that.. then went into the old country store, where they have a huge wooden barrel with pickles in it. We bought juju one, cause she LOVES pickles! then we got in the car and headed home. On the way home we saw an air show!!! flying right over the freeway! We snacked on our cheese and crackers, and the ride home seems really quick! i guess its cause we are used to going places far away! lol When we got home, juju and i took a nap, and chris made ribs and roasted red potatoes, and salad! it was so yummy!

The weekend was freaking awesome! and i had such a great time with my family! it makes me realize how blessed i am to have not only chris, but my baby girl! Chris did this little trip for me, beacuse of his graduation party, i didnt have a mothers day. He didnt tell me that, until we were already there, and it was so incredibly sweet of him! He is such a great man! And juju is always so well behaved when we go on trips, it makes it a joy just to have her with us. dont get me wrong, she has her bratty moments, but for hte most part, shes just pure joy to have with us on trips! Chris and I did agree though, that we need some alone time, and for our anniversary this year, we are thinking about finding a babysitter and going away for the night, just me and him, and a jacuzzi room! LOL

Sigh.. life is pretty damn good!
